Grab The Glory can go one better at Kempton

1:30 – Kempton – LONDON IRISH FAMILY ZONE “NATIONAL HUNT” NOVICES´ HURDLE (CLASS 4) (4yo+) Good 2m5f

Grab The Glory makes his second start over hurdles at Kempton today.  The Gary Moore inmate was successful in three runs in National Hunt Flat races including his racecourse debut at Kempton in February when he came 3rd.  Gary Moore’s horses are now starting to come into form with 8 runners from 38 runners in the last 14 days giving a winning strike rate of 21.05%.

In three starts in bumpers Grab The Glory was placed twice before winning at Plumpton in May.  He made his Hurdles debut at Fontwell on 1st October finishing 2nd to David Pipe’s Arab League by ½ a length.  He really should have won had he not got the final hurdle all wrong.  He did hit a flat spot after making up ground coming to the third last but stayed on well up the home straight.  With the experience of his first hurdles race behind him he should be up to winning before long.

The going at Kempton today is Good and he appears to go well in Good ground having finished in 2nd place in a bumper at Fontwell and on his first run over hurdles at Fontwell last time out.  Grab The Glory runs over 2 miles 5 furlongs for the first time today but stayed on well over 2 miles 4 furlongs last time so the extra furlong should not be an issue.

He ran well at Kempton on his racecourse debut, course form which should be useful today.  He is ridden by Jamie Moore who has ridden him on all of his starts to date.

Today’s race looks fairly competitive but only three of the runners have run over hurdles before and Grab The Glory is also only one of two runners who have had a recent run, so he should also have race fitness on his side.
