Sherwani Wolf looks the call at Hereford

2:40 – Hereford – PLAY CASINO AT VICTORCHANDLER.COM HANDICAP CHASE (CLASS 4) (4yo+ 0-120) Soft 2m5f110y

Nigel Twiston-Davies looks to have found Sherwani Wolf a winnable opportunity on just his second start over fences. The 7 year old bay gelding made his chasing debut at Hereford in November and made a pleasing impression finishing 2nd some 11 lengths behind Invictus who has franked the form by winning again since.  The margin of victory somewhat flattered Invictus as he blundered quite badly at the 12th fence but apart from that he jumped well and is sure to have been schooled over fences since.

Going conditions are ideal for him today with the ground riding Soft.  Sherwani Wolf has run in Soft ground five times and he has won on three occasions.  He ran over today’s trip for the first time at Hereford on his chasing debut and he stayed on well to show that he sees out the trip well.

He runs off an Official Rating of 120 today which is the same mark he ran off last time and he has won off 114 over hurdles.  He is ridden by Sam Twiston-Davies again today who rode him for the first time at Hereford last time and will no doubt have been schooling him at home.

Although Sherwani Wolf has not yet won going right-handed he does have some decent course form at Hereford and with going condition no problem he really should be in the shake up today.
