Course winner Community should relish return to Fibresand

Just three runners go to post this afternoon for this Fillies Handicap and Zenarinda is likely to go off as odds on favourite even though she is yet to win a race in 18 attempts.  She also had Community 5 lengths behind her when the pair met two runs back but Community is now 9lbs better off in the weights and has the advantage of having course winning experience.  The third horse in today’s trio, Inpersuitoffreedom has yet to run on the fibresand and has not won in six runs on the all weather.

Community is also very lightly raced for a 4 year old.   She has only run 6 times in her career and all six runs have come on the all weather.  She has run at Southwell three times and has won once and finished unplaced on her other two runs.  She has also won over today’s trip of 1 mile from three runs over the distance.

She is ridden by Joe Fanning today and when she won her Maiden over course and distance in December she made all to win by 3 ¼ lengths.  Joe Fanning rides very well from the front and is very good tactically and three of his wins over the past 14 days have come in small field races.

It would be hard to back an odds on shot who is yet to win from 18 runs and with Inpersuitoffreefom making her fibresand debut it seems prudent to back Community who at least has some recent winning form on the surface.
