Lightly raced Terdaad has gone well fresh

4:50 – Kempton – BLUESQUARE.COM JUBILEE HANDICAP (LONDON MILE QUALIFIER) (CLASS 3) (4yo+ 0-90) Winner £6,412 Standard 1m

Teradaad is a 4 year old chestnut gelding who has only raced 4 times during his career to date.  He ran 2 times as a 2 year old and just once last season, so he has clearly had his problems.  What is of interest is that he is owned by Godolphin who must think something of him to keep him in training with them.

He runs for the first time for 271 days today which will not necessarily be an inconvenience to him as he won on his only run last season after being off for 10 months.  Two of his runs have come at Kempton and he has won once and finished 2nd on his other visit to the track.

He has run over 1 mile twice previously, winning on his last run at Salisbury and finishing 2nd on his previous run over the trip at Kempton by ½ length.  The form of the Salisbury race has plenty of substance to it with 6 winners coming out of it.

Teradaad wears checkpieces again today.  He has worn the headgear on his last two starts and has won on both occasions.  He is ridden by Frankie Dettori who has ridden on all four of his starts.

He has been put up 9lbs for his win at Salisbury but has plenty of scope to improve.  He has entries next week Goodwood, Chester and Ripon and is only one of two booked rides for Dettori at Kempton today.  The fact that Godolphin have kept Terdaad in training shows that he is expected to have a decent career and can be expected to run well today.
