6:35 – Ffos Las – 32RED CASINO FILLIES´ HANDICAP (CLASS 5) (3yo+ 0-75) Good To Soft 6f
It would be fair to say that Full Shilling still has an improving profile as since she was given a handicap mark on her fourth run of 52 she has steadily moved up in the weights to her current mark of 66. The 4 year old bay filly has run 16 times to date and no fewer than 14 of her starts have been over today’s trip of 6 furlongs. She did not run as a 2 year old and ran three times in Maidens on the all weather surface at Wolverhampton to gain her initial handicap mark.
She has won once on the all weather but her best form is on the turf. In 11 runs she has won three times and finished 2nd or 3rd on another four occasions. She has reserved her best form for Chepstow and in four visits to the track she has won three times. However, she has won away from Chepstow and she also has some decent place form on the turf at Nottingham, Warwick and Windsor and therefore does not appear to be a one track wonder.
She runs over 6 furlongs again this evening and she has won three times and been placed 4 times from 10 runs over the trip on the turf. The going at Ffos Las is Good to Soft and with no further rain forecast the ground could have dried out somewhat by this evening. She is equally at home on Good to Soft and Good ground. She has run in Good to Soft going twice, winning once and finishing third on her other run and in Good ground her record is one win and two placed efforts from six runs.
Full Shilling comes into the race in great heart, having won on two of her last three starts, including winning at Chepstow last time off a career high mark of 66. She has only been put up 3lbs for her win but is effectively running off 62 this evening at William Twiston-Davies takes off 7lbs.
It is perhaps interesting that she runs in a fillies only race this evening as she has been mixing it with the boys on her last starts. However, she runs in a very competitive event with most of the field arriving in good form. A chance is taken with her due to her current form, her ability to handle the going and if her apprentice jockey can get a clear run as she likes to be held up towards the rear, there is an very good chance she can win for the third time in four runs this evening.
